Hypothenar hammer syndrome

Presentation

Carpenter by profession for last 30 years. Pain in wrist , proximal palm for the last few days. Numbness in 4th and 5th digits. Referred for radiograph and focused ultrasound.

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Normal radiograph.

ultrasound

Thrombus in superficial palmer branch of ulnar artery. Thrombosed segment is not compressible.

Wall thickening is present in longer segment.
