Presentation

The patient accidentally twisted his right foot while working, he is a helper, he did not wear safety shoes, on examination: tenderness, dorsum of the right foot (tarsal/ metatarsal part).

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

1st metatarsal base comminuted fracture is seen with intra-articular extension.

Soft tissue shadows appear swollen.

Case Discussion

The distance between the first and second metatarsals of the right foot appears to be slightly wider, referring to 1st metatarsophalangeal joint subluxation.
