These images show marked intra and extrahepatic biliary tree dilatation. Unfortunately, overlaying gas precluded the assessment of the distal common biliary duct and pancreatic head.
Case Discussion
ERCP (images not available) confirmed a distal common bile duct stone as the cause of the biliary tree obstruction.
This case is illustrative of the appearances of the biliary tree dilatation on ultrasound.
