Small bowel obstruction secondary to a Meckel diverticulum

Small bowel obstruction is seen extending until the ileocecal valve. A blind structure originating from the terminal ileum is identified, with slight wall thickening. However, not much fat stranding is seen near this structure, which could be a Meckel diverticulum. Moderate pelvic ascites is seen.
Coronal view confirms a Meckel diverticulum.
Case Discussion
Small bowel obstruction is a recognized complication of a Meckel diverticulum. The diagnosis was confirmed per-operatively.
