Presentation

Palpable pelvic mass in a patient with end stage renal disease and renal transplantation

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
ct

Two large heterodyne lytic expansile lesions are seen in the right iliac bone and pubic ramus. A few small masses with heterogeneous lytic appearance are also scattered bilaterally. 

A transplanted kidney is noted in the right iliac fossa. 

Case Discussion

The findings in a patient with secondary hyperparathyroidism due to end stage renal disease are most consistent with brown tumors.
