Incidental finding on chest radiograph

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Incidental well-defined left-sided mediastinal mass

CT with contrast to better define the mediastinal lesion

Large mass with contrast entering from the aortic lumen contiguous with the descending aorta beyond the left subclavian - note heavy aortic wall calcification but not in the aneurysm wall = paseudoaneurysm.  Causes include old trauma or possibly infection (ie mycotic)
