Pancoast tumor represents an apical lung malignancy, which may be identified on chest radiograph, AP shoulder or AP cervical spine films, either incidently or due to the symptomatology that was the indication for the film.  It is also one reason the lung apex is considered as a review area on all chest radiograph interpretations.
