Ultrasound image of the palpable lesion. The lesion is poorly circumscribed, has no pseudocapsule, shows multiple lobulations and is as tall as it is wide.
Case Discussion
This lesion was described as likely being a fibroadenoma. This lesion is not a fibroadenoma. In fact, this lesion does not have a single characteristic of fibroadenoma.
The lesion was biopsied 3 months later because it had enlarged. This is an infiltrating ductal carcinoma (IDC).
