Right flank pain and hematuria.
Patient Data
Right vesicoureteric junction stone.
Left lower pole stones. Left renal cortical scarring.
CT-KUB component performed as part of work up for hematuria. In a fully supervised CT list, with this finding one may not have continued to CT-IVU, with the assumption the stone is responsible for the hematuria.

Case Discussion
CT-IVU in most instances has replaced a traditional IVU in the assessment of the renal tracts. The trade off is the radiation dose administered to the patient.
It may be combined with imaging of the kidneys, in the form of a split bolus technique study, when assessment is being undertaken for hematuria.
