There is a large ankle joint effusion. The distal tibial epiphysis and the talus are both sclerotic and there is marked irregularity of the talus and bone destruction.
Case Discussion
There are very few pathological processes that cause extensive joint destruction in children. This joint has been repeatedly damaged secondary to hemarthrosis in a patient with hemophilia.
