Left hyperdense MCA extending into the Sylvian fissure and seen as a hyperdense dot on axial imaging (dot sign).
No evidence of a definite established infarct although patchy regions of the insula cortex appear ill-defined.
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates the typical appearance of a hyperdense MCA sign, not in the M1 segment, but more distally in M2 and M3 branches. It thus appears as a dot in axial images.
