Salter Harris type I shoulder injury

Presentation

Fall onto left shoulder while playing football. ? clavicle fracture.

Patient Data

Age: 12 years
Gender: Male

There is a transverse fracture of the clavicle, but more impressive is the complete slip of the humeral epiphysis - a rather astonishing Salter-Harris type I injury.

Case Discussion

One of the most impressive Salter-Harris type I injuries I've seen.  Complete slip of the humeral epiphysis following trauma - and accompanied by a transverse fracture of the clavicle.
