Ovarian mucinous cystadenocarcinoma

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

CT shows a large ovarian cystic mass that extends from the pelvic excavation until the umbilical region of 23x22x12 cm. Multiloculated with with enhancing solid components. Moderate amount of free liquid subphrenic space parieto colic and pouch of Douglas. some areas of increased density of mesenteric fat. Liver and spleen with no focal lesions isodense. Not observed dilation bile duct. Distended gallbladder, without gallstones evident by this method. Pancreas and adrenal glands preserved appearance. Kidney shape, size, in normal position with normal cortical thickness. not observed hydronephrosis. Distended bladder with homogeneous appearance. 

Case Discussion

This pelvic cystic-solid mass is compatible with ovarian cystadenocarcinoma with peritoneal affectation and ascites.
