Chondroblastoma of fibula

Presentation

Long standing pain in the region of left knee.

Patient Data

Age: 16 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Radiograph left knee joint in AP and lateral projections were taken.

A well defined mildly expansile lytic lesion is seen involving fibular head epiphysis. The lesion shows narrow zone of transition and peripheral rim of chondroid matrix and central septations.

Case Discussion

Features consistent of chondroblastoma.

Chondroblastoma is benign cartilaginous tumor seen in young individuals involving epiphyseal regions.
