Left flank pain and hematuria

Age: 54 years old

Left renal cortical mass arising from the posteromedial aspect of superior portion of left kidney measuring 4.5 cm in diameter. It displays avid enhancement in arterial phase followed by gradual washout in subsequent phases with central necrotic area. Smudging of the adjacent fat planes are noted with no evidence of renal vein, IVC thrombus or adjacent lymph nodes. No invasion of surrounding structures.

Diagnosis: Renal cell carcinoma stage II or T1N0Mx
