Case Discussion

Colorectal cancer recurrences in the abdominal wall have been reported to occur in approximately 60% of patients with advanced disease. It is important to look for intra-abdominal recurrence in these cases.

Recent studies show a similar incidence of these metastases after open or laparoscopic surgery (recurrence rates are 0.60% and 0.85%, respectively).
