Young lady with vague bone ache and splenic cysts detected at abdominal ultrasound.
Patient Data
The spleen shows multiple non-enhancing cystic lesions; with the largest is 4.5 cm.
Multiple lytic lesions are seen within the skull bones the dorso-lumbar vertebrae as well as the pelvic bones. No cortical destruction or extra-osseous soft tissue component.
Pansinusitis with sinonasal polyposis; likely of fungal etiology.
Case Discussion
Cystic angiomatosis with multiple splenic cystic lesions as well as calvarial, spine and pelvic bones multiple cystic lesions. The splenic cystic lesions fairly exclude Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) as the latter is usually confined to one system with no splenic involvement.
