IVC is observed on the left side at its infrarenal traject, then it crosses over to the right side anterior to the aorta after uniting with the left renal vein. Suprarenal IVC is normal to the right atrium. Spectral imaging showing venous flow with respiratory phasicity.
Case Discussion
A left IVC (prevalence of 0.2%–0.5%) results from regression of the right supracardinal vein with persistence of the left supracardinal vein.
