What esophageal finding is associated with scleroderma?
The esophagus is often dilated and shows hypomotility, with an incompetent lower esophageal sphincter. This may mimic an achalasia pattern in the supine position, but typically empties completely when the patient is upright.
There are numerous irregularly shaped calcific densities in the subcutaneous soft tisssues anterior to the knee, extending from the prepatelar region to the proximal tibial diaphysis. There is also a fleck of calcification noted anterior to the mid tibial diaphysis. There is no joint effusion.
