Sudden pleuritic chest pain

Age: 30
Gender: Male

There is a right sided pneumothorax.

There are large underlying bullae within the lung apices, much more severe than would be expected for a patient of this age.

Case Discussion

Severe bullous disease has been described in patients who smoke marijuana.

This patient had a history of heavy marijuana use.
