Presentation

Abdominal pain, vomiting. Empty colostomy. History of total abdominal hysterectomy and Hartmann's. ? Large bowel obstruction.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Distension of large colon with transition at descending colon. A 4cm fecolith in the left mid abdomen is noted.

Large bowel obstruction due to impacted fecolith in descending colon. Incidental hiatus hernia.
