Presentation

Known metastatic bladder cancer. Now worsening mobility

Patient Data

Age: 70
Gender: Male
Nuclear medicine

On FDG-PET, focus of abnormal uptake within the spinal canal, suspicious for spinal cord involvement. MRI was advised.

Abnormal T2 cord hyperintensity, with suggestion of focal mass dorsally at T6. Post-contrast imaging shows intramedullary enhancing lesion corresponding to PET abnormality. Appearances consistent with intramedullary spinal metastasis with surrounding edema.
