Updates to Study Attributes

Findings was changed:

Incidental finding of right breast lesion, not spiculated.

Incidental mass in right adnex right adnexa, mostly resembling mature ovarian teratoma: mainly fat density,, eccentricRokitansky protuberance, wall and peripheral calcifications.

Updates to Study Attributes

Findings was changed:

Mammography and especially ultrasound characterize right breast lesion as malignant. Triple assessment positive.

Ultrasound revealed an ill-defined mass of heterogenous, hypoechoic architecture with posterior acoustic shadowing.

Right lumpectomy was performed and the patient made an uneventful recovery.

Pathology revealed invasive lobular carcinoma, grade 2, tumor diameter 21 mm. R0 resection. Focal vessel invasion invasion. Endocrine receptor positive-positive (ER+ and PR+).

Images Changes:

Image Mammography (Ultrasound) ( update )

Description was removed:

Updates to Quizquestion Attributes

Answer was changed:
Differential diagnoses are broad, but the most important might be grouped asmalignant, e.g. solid tumours, lymphoproliferative diseases;inflammatory and/or auto immuneautoimmune disorders;mood disorders, e.g. depression

Updates to Quizquestion Attributes

Answer was changed:
It depends on how you define characterization.CT is under certain circumstances able to characterize breast lesions as clearly malignant, e.g. revealing ulceration, invasion of underlying structures. Significant contrast enhancement may also suggest malignancy.

Updates to Quizquestion Attributes

Answer was changed:
There is a mass in the upper lateral quadrant of the right breast.Ultrasound depicts an ill-defined mass of heterogenousheterogeneous, hypo echoichypoechoic architecture with posterior acoustic shadowing. It is clearly malignant and tissue sampling is warranted.
