What are the components of this injury?
Perilunate dislocation (disruption of the capitolunate articulation with dorsal displacement of the distal carpal row) along with a transverse fracture of the scaphoid.
How common is the trans-scaphoid component of this injury?
Scaphoid fractures are seen in approximately 60% of perilunate dislocations.
There is a trans-scaphoid perilunate fracture-dislocation. Aside from the lunate the other carpal bones are displaced radially and dorsally.
Multiple fracture fragments are noted. The scaphoid is fractured at the waist.
