Talar dome osteochondral injury

Presentation

Twisted right ankle. Tender lateral malleolus.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

On a single projection (oblique) there is a subtle cortical irregularity at the superolateral aspect of the talar dome that may represent a minimally displaced fracture, but is possibly projectional. Symmetrical ankle joint mortise with no talar shift.

There is very small cortical injury/fracture present at the anterolateral aspect of the talar dome. No other fracture or malalignment identified.
