High-resolution T2 weighted sequences through the 3rd ventricle demonstrate a small defect measuring 2 mm in its floor, communicating with the interpeduncular cistern consistent with a prior third ventriculostomy. On CSF flow studies definite flow through this defect is demonstrated (most easily seen on sagittal phase images).
Appearances of the remainder of the brain are unaltered when compared to previous imaging, with irregular ventriculomegaly, no evidence of transependymal oedema, and a right occipitoparietal neural shunt tube.
