Subsequent CECT abdomen confirmed the origin of the lesion from the left kidney, with large amount of fat within the lesion seen as negative Hounsfield values.
Coronal maximum intensity projection and volume rendering show highly vascular nature of the lesion and blood supply from renal arteries. Helical CT scan of the head revealed an extradural hematoma however no features suggestive of tuberous sclerosis (e.g. cortical or subependymal tubers were not found).
Note eventration of left dome of diaphragm and uterine fibroid.
