There is a hypoechoic, oval, well defined, wider than the taller lesion. The color Doppler revealed a mild, peripheric flow. Elasticity score of 1. One the black and white Virtual Touch Tissue Image there is equal stiffness between the mass and the surrounding breast tissue.

Color map Virtual Touch Tissue Imaging: green color (benign).

Shear wave velocity inside the lesion is equal to 2.5 m/sec (<3.065 m/sec).

Case Discussion

Ultrasonography, strain and acoustic radiation force impulse elastography findings are indicative of a benign lesion.

Although the lesion was considered a fibroadenoma an ultrasound-guided biopsy was performed and the pathology report revealed a tubular adenoma which is a benign breast lesion.
