What are complications of an intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)?
Too high placement may obstruct left subclavian artery, left common carotid artery, etc. Too low placement may cut off mesenteric splanchnic supply. Heparin-related complications. Since it is in the femoral artery, trauma to this may cause lower limb ischemia.

Left paraspinal lucency corresponds to the inflated balloon.
Pulmonary edema after coronary stent placement.
