Presentation

Pulsatile abdominal mass noticed by surgical team when presented for elective hernia repair.

Patient Data

Age: 60
Gender: Male
ct

Infrarenal aortic aneurysm: maximal diameter 10 cm, length of affected aorta ~15 cm. No contrast extravasation, no rupture at time of scan. Origin of aneurysm 2 cm distal to left renal artery origin. No involvement of iliac or mesenteric vessels.

Calcification of abdominal aorta and iliac vessels on non-contrast scan.

Incidental left renal cyst measuring 6 cm.

Small right inguinal hernia containing fat.

Case Discussion

The patient underwent open repair of his AAA which was uncomplicated.

It is unclear if he has yet had his hernia repaired...
