What are the four "landmarks" for a correctly positioned NGT?
* passing down the midline of the chest *bisecting the carina *passing the diaphragm in the midline *tip sitting under the diaphragm
The NG tube is following the right course but is sitting in the oesophagus.
If advanced about 10 cm, it is likely to be in the stomach.
