Presentation
Pain and heaviness in the epigastrium for about six months.
Patient Data
At the body-tail of the pancreas, there are cystic multilocular lesions of about 8 cm, with numerous calcifications in the walls and septa. The most caudal portion of this lesion has microcystic appearance, with cysts in water content while the most cranial portion is constituted by cysts greater in protein content. The duct of Wirsung is not dilated. There are collateral circles near the spleen and stomach.

Case Discussion
In an adult female, the differential for a cystic lesion in the pancreatic body and tail includes:
-
serous cystadenoma
- typical
- oligocystic/macrocystic
- mucinous cystadenoma
- intraductal papillary mucinous tumor (IPMN)
In this situation, the imaging appearance of the cystic lesion and the patient's age overlap with mucinous cystadenoma of the pancreas, but on pathologic analysis, an oligocystic/macrocystic cystadenoma was diagnosed.
