There is a plantar calcaneal spur associated with minor calcifications on the projection of the plantar fascia. There is also a irregular and heterogeneous calcification at the insertion of the calcaneal (Achilles) tendon, which is also referred as insertional calcific tendinopathy.
Case Discussion
This case illustrates a common X-ray finding when assessing calcaneal pain: plantar spur and calcaneal insertional calcific tendinopathy.
