Patient involved in a high speed MVA.

Age: 33
Gender: Male

C4-5 dislocation including locked facets dislocation, the substantial anterolisthesis of C4 relative to C5 results in significant (>75%) canal narrowing. There is also a hematoma bulging the posterior longitudinal ligament at the C4 level and compressing the dural sac anteriorly. 

Case Discussion

This case illustrates a severe cervical spine lesion due to the anteroposterior dislocation of C4 and C5 in more than 75% promoting canal narrowing and cord lesion. 

High-dose of methylprednisolone was administered and the patient was transferred to a major trauma center.
