Knocked from bike. Sore left shoulder.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

No dislocation. AC joint is not widened. No fracture identified. Left apical pneumothorax.

Case Discussion

The lungs are a check area on shoulder x-rays. Pneumothorax is a well known cause of shoulder tip pain due to diaphragmatic irritation.
