Why has the ICD been positioned this way?
Different tube positioning can depend on the indication. If draining fluid, the ICDs usually sit at the base (to drain gravity dependent fluid). In pneumothoraces, the air is at the pleural apex so having the drain there is more likely to drain the excess air.
