There is a cerebral malformation characterised by a left frontoparietal cleft filled with CSF and communicating the left lateral ventricle to the cortical surface. This cleft is lined by polymicrogyria. Right-sided polymicrogyria is also seen extending to the lateral ventricle whereas small ventricular outpouching is seen, suggesting right sided closed lip schizencephaly. There is also the absence of the septum pellucidum.
