Subungual glomus tumor

There is a well-defined hypoechoic lesion in the nail bed on the ulnar side. It measures 4 x 2 mm. It shows hypervascularity. There is erosion of cortex. There is no distal interphalangeal joint effusion.

A nodule is noted at nail bed. It was excised.
Case Discussion
In this clinical context, the above ultrasound findings suggested a glomus tumor. MRI was done later and showed similar findings. (not available).
There was a nail bed tumor as seen in intraoperative photographs provided by operating surgeon Dr. Ritesh Patel.
Histopathology (verbal communication with the operating surgeon) confirmed a glomus tumor.
