Patient Data

Age: 8 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Right femoral epiphysis is asymmetrically smaller than the left. There is also a subchondral lucency in keeping with avascular necrosis.

Case Discussion

This patient was followed over a number of years and the femoral epiphysis continued to collapse, and eventually required a femoral osteotomy to correct femoral malalignment.
