Presentation

Family history DDH.

Patient Data

Age: Two weeks
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Both heads are enlocated within dysplastic acetabula. The acetabular dysplasia is mild-moderate on the right and severe on the left. 

Stress views:

  • right: not dislocated
  • left: dislocated but reducible

Alpha angles

  • right: 53 degrees
  • left: 43 degrees

Femoral head coverage

  • right: 48%
  • left: 8%

Case Discussion

There is severe DDH on the left, and less severe DDH on the right. This child will need expert orthopedic management to prevent long-term morbidity.
