Leg deformity.

Patient Data

Age: 24 months
Gender: Male
x-ray

Metaphyseal flaring and fraying seen at both proximal and distal tibia. There is slight outward bowing of both tibia.

Rickets is the pediatric musculoskeletal manifestation of osteomalacia. It occurs by deficiency of vitamin D, calcium, phosphorus, and/or alkaline phosphate.
