Presentation
Right shoulder pain for three months with functional limitation in adduction without trauma.
Patient Data
There is complete rupture of the subscapularis tendon with muscle retraction. It is associated with a supraspinatus tendon pre-insertional complete lesion.
Normal humeral glenohumeral ligaments, infraspinatus and the long head biceps tendons.
Abundant joint effusion.
Case Discussion
Subscapularis muscle tendon injuries can be traumatic or degenerative and usually occur in association with other forms of disease, such as shoulder instability of the long head of biceps tendon, rotator cuff tear, humeral anterior glenohumeral dislocation.
