The CT shows compression of the left renal vein between the superior mesenteric artery and aorta. There is also a varicose dilatation of the left testicular vein.
Case Discussion
The most common clinical manifestation of the nutcracker syndrome is intermittent macroscopic hematuria, repeated episodes of gross hematuria and left flank pain. Renal vein thrombosis can be an important complication.
