Prior LVAD and prior MI now with defibrillator firing.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

x-ray

Chest radiographs, pre and post LVAD insertion.

There has been interval placement of a left ventricular assist device (LVAD), overlying the lower left hemithorax.

There is a left chest wall biventricular cardioverter defibrillator, with leads intact and stable in position. Stable median sternotomy wires and coronary artery stent overlying the left ventricle.

Heart size and CHF improved post LVAD.
