There is anechoic lesion in subcutaneous plane of proximal thigh on lateral aspect.
Part of the lesion overlies greater trochanter of femur.
Lesion is compressible.
There is very thin capsule ( < 1 mm ) around part of the lesion.
There are few avascular septa in lesion.
Size :
Cranio-caudal - 9 cm
Transverse - 7 mm
Thickness - 2 cm.
Perilesional fat is echogenic.
