What is the key finding?
This requires detailed examination due to artifact, but the remaining maxillary tooth is "floating" without being anchored into bone.
What is the differential for this appearance?
Severe periodontal disease, metastases, alveolar squamous cell carcinoma osteomyelitis, or other lytic bone lesions (e.g. ameloblastoma, KCOT, multiple myeloma, lymphoma).
Resorption of the superior alveolar ridge centrally with a floating tooth. Solitary mandibular tooth.
