Presentation

Cyanosis since birth. Known case of Tetralogy of Fallot.

Patient Data

Age: 5 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

The heart exhibits an uplifted apex reflective of right ventricular hypertrophy.  

The main pulmonary artery is concave.

There is right-sided aortic arch.

The lungs show decreased vascularity. Tracheal bronchus is also demonstrated. 

Case Discussion

This case shows the radiographic "boot-shape" appearance of the heart in an echocardiographically proven case of tetralogy of Fallot (TOF).
