There is an anechoic lesion in subcutaneous plane of proximal - mid - distal thigh on lateral aspect. It starts near to greater trochanter, but does not abut it. Echoes are noted within. Lesion is compressible. There is early thin wall / capsule ( <1 mm ) around part of the lesion. No flow is noted in wall. There are a few septa in lesion.
Approximate size:
- Craniocaudal - 24 cm
- Transverse - 0.6 cm
- Thickness - 2 cm.
Perilesional fat is echogenic.
Morphologically similar but smaller lesion (3 x 2 x 1 cm) is seen in mid lateral thigh; superficial to above mentioned larger lesion.
