The intermetatarsal (IM) angle (angle between first and second metatarsal) is increased. Note the bony prominence formed at the inner side of the 1st tarsometatarsal joint that is called bunion. An associated cystic and osteoarthritis changes are seen at both first tarsometatarsal joints.
