- Complete radial tear of the medial meniscus at the posterior root. Induration and edema of the loose connective tissue lying behind the posterior horn of the medial meniscus and low grade tearing of the posteromedial capsule.
- Moderate grade chondromalacia of the hyaline cartilage over the lateral patellar facet (ICRS Grade 2a).
Case Discussion
Complete radial tear of the medial meniscus at the posterior root. This is type of meniscal tear is commonly missed and the posterior root attachments are hence a good check area on knee MRI studies. This patient also has lateral patella facet chondromalacia.
